The design challenge was to use unrentable, street facing building space as a temporary display for several American flags. Instead of simply displaying off-the-shelf fabric flags, the client relationship holder and I convinced Pew to let us provide them with some more unique options. They loved our ideas and chose the deconstructed translucent acrylic design to move forward with. The “temporary” 2011 installation, as of early 2022, is still on display.
